The Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for landing new business and selling different products to agencies. Within a targeted agency patch this person will be responsible for developing and closing new business, as well as ensuring on-going business from existing accounts to achieve a set revenue target.
Your key client contacts will be agency planner buyers through to more senior Heads of with whom you will deal with on an on-going basis and therefore you will be expected to build strong and successful relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of proposals to agencies – both reactive and proactive
Ability to consultatively work with clients to come up with the best solutions to deliver their clients’ needs
Strong negotiation skills to deliver up-selling of deal terms
Creation of case studies for successful campaigns
Maintain communication with client partners regarding performance, discrepancies, reporting, and general day-to-day campaign requests
Working with the campaign management team to analyze data in an effort to optimize campaigns and identify ways to achieve client goals
Appropriate administration, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison
Maintain and develop the internal customer and prospect database within Salesforce
Ensure accurate monthly invoicing
Attend agency events, dinners, and other industry events to develop and maintain rapport with clients
Skills Required
3+ years sales experience
A verifiable track record of a strong ability to network, entertain and meet relevant contacts
Must be able to perform to targets and excel in a highly competitive market
Strong portfolio of contacts within agencies
Desire to learn new technology/methodologies
Knowledge of 3rd party adserving
Knowledge of Salesforce
Strong MS Office Skills
Strong understanding of the internet advertising industry
Strong communication (both verbal and written)
Great customer service skills
