Account Manager

My client are the UK's leading provider of OTC content and communication to pharmacy. Their enviable reputation in community pharmacy, training, journalism, publishing and events amounts to more than 350 years of healthcare industry experience.

The Product

The Tutor programme is the mainstay of a one of the UK's leading retailers ongoing healthcare training for store colleagues. Comprising a series of monthly learning modules and training aids, every relevant store colleague in every store receives their own individual pack, which is also available online.
Available every 4 weeks each colleague receives their own pack for completion over the following 4 weeks, either on line or paper-based. Training time is allocated within salary allocation model.

Each pack has 2 learning modules on a specified category (agreed in conjunction with the commercial and L&D teams), In Store magazine, display poster outlining essential dates and QR codes, 2 Minute Clinic card one of which links to video in online versions.

Each training piece within the Tutor pack has its own opportunity for brands to participate, including their chosen key messages and visual image. Store colleagues are exposed to these messages as they learn, boosting knowledge and confidence in recommending and selling those participating brands.

Account Manager role

They are looking for a proven sales account manager to drive business on this key product.

The main responsibilities are: to manage and achieve maximum sales with your allocated clients, meet budgeted revenue targets and to maintain a policy of high yield to maximise profit. This requires the ability to build positive relationships with the clients buying team to gain their support for the programme and capitalise on the commercial opportunities.

There is responsibility to meet individual and team targets set at the beginning of the financial year and reviewed on a monthly and quarterly basis.

You have responsibility for the day-to-day running of your client accounts, involving sales, copy chasing, production and invoicing duties.

You must be approachable and be capable of forging strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The role involves a close working relationship with the editorial team, supporting them by ensuring copy deadlines are met and all stakeholders in line.
