Description

A successful media group based in the Midlands are looking to strengthen the Media Sales team by appointing an experienced Head of Media Sales within the Group’s Media Partnerships team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading two Business Development Managers and one Media Sales Planner responsible for selling all of ‘out of home’ media, experiential and digital media assets operated and owned by the Group with the objective of increasing revenues and profitability

The key responsibilities for the role will be:

• To create and deliver a sales strategy to maximise sales from media assets under the control of the Group Media Partnerships team
• To lead and work alongside the Business Development Managers and the Media Sales Planner to deliver the media sales budget from all out of home, experiential and digital media assets available to be purchased in the marketplace
• Work alongside the wider Group media sales and sponsorship team to ensure effective co-ordination of sales that maximise media asset utilisation.
• Work directly with regional and national brands and regional and national media agencies for the effective sales of all Group media assets
• To work with the Group studio to develop effective sales materials required to facilitate sales
• Work with the Business Development Managers to create bespoke media quotations
• Work alongside the wider Group media sales and sponsorship team to ensure effective co-ordination of sales that maximise media asset utilisation.
• Identify incremental revenue opportunities that can be sold to the market
• Be able to use market trends and client tracking resources to maximum benefit
• Manage effective and productive commercial relationships between all clients and the Group

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Demonstrable selling, negotiating and presentation skills in a commercial environment
• Have managerial experience in media sales ideally with media sales agency experience and in outdoor media
• Excellent written+verbal communication skills
• Proven track record and working at senior level CEO down
• Dynamic and forward thinking, with the ability to maximise opportunities and revenue
• Highly motivated by the opportunity to develop additional revenue streams and creative in problem solving
• A proven track record of delivering results consistently
