The Account Director is responsible for instigating and developing professional and profitable relationships with Specialists generating maximum revenue for the company


Negotiation and influencing
• Responsible for the negotiation of all campaigns to meet and surpass targets
• Increase awareness of the company within your Specialist/s
• Updates on new opportunities, changes within the concessions
• Create bespoke proposals to target new advertisers within your Specialist/s
• Liaise with relevant Agency / Client salesperson
• To influence the media decision and bring revenue into the company from other outdoor contractors
• To generate the maximum amount of revenue across all formats
• To manage, support and motivate the Trading team, developing the roles and responsibilities of individuals by addressing training needs and identifying/monitoring key objectives

Market Expertise
• Understand your business
o Who are your key spenders and lapsed clients?
o Run competitive media market place quarterly reports on these
• To liaise with Development to assist in setting the rates and delivering new opportunities
• Regular visits to Specialists to establish and maintain long-term working relationships with all their planners and buyers
• The creation and delivery of high quality bespoke presentations
• Proactively run the renewing business on your patch
 Drive revenue growth
 Increase the holding through smart uses of data and upselling
• Responsible for the sales process from booking through to delivery and provision of after-sales service with the Specialists across all formats
• To adhere at all times to company confidentiality regarding clients, revenue and campaigns booked

• Regularly update all teams of sales activity; encourage exchange of ideas
• Maintain constant feedback from Specialist meetings/negotiations
• Provide assistance / guidance to team with regards to sales policy
• Ensure team work closely with Campaign Management, Development and Operations to ensure the best management of the client’s campaign
• Respond to ad hoc requests in a timely fashion from any of the Directors
• Ensure all communication is logged and stored


• Excellent planning and organisational ability, including good time-management skills
• A self-starter who can demonstrate they lead by example. Self-motivated and self-managing, able to work effectively with the minimum of supervision
• A good persuader, influencer and negotiator at all levels and enjoys the trading elements

• Must be able to present themselves in a high professional manner with clients

• Be a proactive and creative member of the team
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
• Computer literate
• Skilled in the use of sales booking systems and ensuring all is upto date
• A good background in media sales having solid client sales experience


• Proven track record of working in a commercial trading role essential within the media landscape
