A leading agency are recruiting for a digital expert to define and lead the digital planning vision for a major electronics account with a focus on driving new innovations .The client is at a pivotal point in its journey to reposition itself as a loved consumer brand with much of the work towards this being driven by media. They are incredibly innovative, agile and exciting to work with.
The Digital Innovation Director will report into the Managing Partner Digital and support in driving digital excellence, growth, innovation and thought leadership for the agency and specifically for the account. They will also work in close partnership with the Business Director and Strategy Director leading the account.

• Work alongside, Digital/Data Lead, Business Director, and Strategy Director to define the future brand vision for the account and inject strong digital thinking
• Key strategic driver for the client in digital. The right candidate will drive maximum use of digital brand where relevant, layer digital in an interesting and innovative way to fuel their business in changing consumers’ brand perceptions & driving brand love
• Collaborate with the relevant planning & activation teams to ensure best-in-class media responses as well as leadership and delivery of never-been-done-before brand & emerging media initiatives (i.e., augmented reality, innovative brand executions, identifying the next big thing in media to utilise to make the brand synonymous with cutting-edge)
• Manage all digital brand relationships with main digital players (Google, Facebook, Amazon, Oath..etc.) across the entire product portfolio in partnership with activation. team lead, and feedback new opportunities where relevant to planners
• Identify larger bespoke sponsorships / executions with multiple legs that can span the entire product portfolio, and take responsibility for selling in to multiple client stakeholders for joint funding, working with planning & activation for execution
• Actively contribute to strategic thinking in digital within the agency leveraging the best emerging opportunities, partners, internal capabilities and thinking to ensure the agency is leading the industry in digital thinking and execution as a key part of is integrated communications planning
• create and drive new solutions outside of paid media to inform, complement and deliver more holistic benefits to clients
• Build strong relationships with senior clients to help shape their marketing strategy by landing our vision for digital
• Architect innovative and highly effective digital marketing strategies, communication plans and integrated solutions
• Proactively inspire clients and agency talent alike with digital thinking, education, activation and results
• Effectively land new digital brand / innovative solutions with planning teams and clients to drive client business goals, client digital understanding and agency digital revenue contribution. Research new emerging partners in the digital space with ideas for use 6 months in “the future”, and pitch how they can be leveraged as part of overall digital planning to internal teams, as well as clients
• Maintain strong and trusting relationships with Business Directors, Strategists, Planners and Precision teams
• Drive culture of learning case studies, new partners, formats, and techniques.
• Partner with key vendors/internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for custom research, pilot/test new platforms
• Ensure the best thinking, innovation and ideas are applied to the account by internal delivery teams (buying teams, content teams, social, challenge where necessary
• Ensure the internal process supports client teams to deliver for their clients and our best thinking enters responses to briefs

Key requirements:
You’re currently in a senior digital brand planning role, already at AD level and ideally with experience working on brand clients. You have good overall knowledge of what roles and solutions digital can add to campaign planning as well as understand all digital channels planning / activation (generalist mindset)

• A digital innovation and brand visionary, able to drive strategy and client excitement around big ideas
• High sense of ownership, drive, agenda setting
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills
• Ability to mobilise a team of activation and content creators to brainstorm an initial response to brief and have them refine it
• Strong ability to create a role for digital strategy outside of mere digital buying, leveraging media owners, strategists and other internal and externally available resources
• Excellent communication and project management skills seeing projects and campaigns through from response to brief to final billing and PCA
