The Role
You’ll be the eyes and ears of the business, being the first point of contact for advertising agencies, working alongside the Account Managers, you will plan and book airtime and digital campaigns, as well as to deal with general enquires and liaising with radio station staff, as well as ensuring we maximise the opportunities to clients, by upselling and cross-selling. You’ll work closely as part of the sales team, alongside your Account Managers as well as supporting the rest of the planning team, and offering exceptional service to our clients and radio stations.
The Details
• Plan, book and administer all radio airtime campaigns across your agency portfolio
• Working in conjunction with your Account Managers to maximise revenues for the company and its Stakeholders
• Build excellent relations with key agency contacts
• Ensure airtime potential figures are updated daily
• Produce agency and revenue reports as and when required by your Account Managers
• Seek out innovative ways to build revenue opportunities through airtime/digital planning and insight
• Ensure all proposal are followed up with excellent negotiation skills in order to maximise revenue for FRS
• Communicate closely with station traffic departments
• Communicate fully with your Account Managers and Head of Sales
• Championing the company proposition to agency contacts and keeping them up to date with relevant information on their stations, competitor activity and responding to ad hoc requests
• Assist in the sales process by providing pitch support to Account Managers and Head of Sales
• Support other Account Planners and the wider team as required
• Deal with sales ledger queries quickly and efficiently

Strong MS Office Skills

Interested in company developments and the media industry as a whole
Most comfortable within a fast changing environment

Experience & Core Competencies
Become conversant with company planning systems and all online trading and resource systems
To act with complete discretion with sensitive business knowledge you are exposed to within the role
The ability to prioritise a demanding work load in a busy sales environment
To be a team player
An interest in the UK radio market and company products are essential
Ability to understand basic invoicing and credit control

Qualifications/Education Required
A minimum of GCSE level Maths and English
A Level or equivalent qualification
