The Company/team
A major national TV company. The Agency Sales team are responsible for maximising all commercial revenues for the company on a sustainable basis selling not only their own owned channels but also on behalf of partner channels. The successful candidate will work within a designated agency team alongside specialists in VoD, Partnerships and Airtime Sales.

Job Purpose
The role is responsible for maximising TV spot market share and revenue from a portfolio of agencies and advertisers. You’ll need to generate and maximise overall advertising revenues from the agencies handled by the group, managing trading relationships and identifying all potential revenue streams.
You’ll be supporting the Agency Investment Leads and Head of Trading and will work across all of the sales house’s channels and other properties.

Key Responsibilities
Maximise revenue and market share
Working with Agency Principal and Agency Team across all C4 products and platforms 
Source and negotiate all revenue opportunities
Develop and manage key agency and client relationships
Creation and delivery of presentations to agencies and clients 
Provide support in developing the sales plan
Drafting and Issuing of Contracts
Rewriting and reissuing of contracts when required 
Providing clarification on contractual matters 
Maintaining related records
Partnering with Portfolio Teams
Identify and develop strategies for revenue maximisation of short term inventory 
Develop and manage sales strategies and policies 
Understand any spot campaign issues and work to resolve 
Liaise with Senior Management on future sales policy and strategy
Problem Solving
Resolving deal interpretation issues with guidance 
Involvement in arbitrating airtime disputes 
Secure competitive deals on a sustainable basis

Essential Experience & Skills
Proven experience working in TV media sales 
Proven experience of managing trading relationships (dealing at Buyer and Manager level) 
An in-depth understanding of TV media sales and advertising process 
A strong knowledge of the commercial market and trading mechanics 
Knowledge of the company's competitors and other media 
Experience of managing conflict 
An experienced and strong negotiator 
Extensive relationship management experience 
Self-motivated and enjoy working to targets 
Keeps updated with industry knowledge

Desirable Experience & Skills

In-depth knowledge and understanding of research systems used in Ad Sales and by Trading Partners 
Understanding of OFCOM regulatory frameworks 
Experience of working as a buyer or planner at an advertising agency 
Experience of working to Group Head level or similar in television ad sales
