Blog number 1

Regular visitors (are there any?) to the site will have noticed that our specialist media recruitment website which features jobs in media sales and media agencies across digital, press, broadcast, SEO, PPC, social media, affiliates, radio, TV, outdoor, ooh, planning and buying amongst others has been spruced up. Not only does the site which features jobs in media sales and media agencies across digital, press, broadcast, SEO, PPC, social media, affiliates, radio, TV, outdoor, ooh, planning and buying amongst others have a new desktop version but also a new mobile compatible one that features jobs in media sales and media agencies across digital, press, broadcast, SEO, PPC, social media, affiliates, radio, TV, outdoor, ooh, planning and buying amongst others (OK, I’ll stop now) to be seen in a specialist format for your iPhone or Galaxy .

One of the features of the new site is a blog. When the developer told us that we should definitely have a blog I asked why. After all, we’re not journalists (think that will be apparent by now) and we don’t have the sort of content which is going to drive media related traffic away from the likes of Mediaweek, Brand Republic or, let’s be honest, the Mail Online. It turns out the point of it is basically for SEO purposes, so you’ll have to excuse the keyword repetition above, won’t happen again.

If nobody reads this then I guess it doesn’t matter what the content is, as long as Google’s spiders pick up on it, but in the hope that at least one or two find themselves here then how about I ask what you’d like to read in a media recruiter’s blog?! Industry news and views? A ‘day in the life’ sort of stuff? Maybe hints and tips for job hunting and interviews. We do get a lot of gossip and have some juicy stories about things going on around town so maybe people would like to read those. We’d have to be careful mind you…..

Any ideas, email at  info@harrisondear.co.uk. I’m not expecting much but maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
